Title: IT Project Manager II Location: Washington DC (Hybrid) {Need Local} Duration: 6-month contract Visa: USC or GC Job Description: OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Project Manager II is a key resource in growing USACs project management discipline and maturity through the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management principles and techniques. The Project Manager II serves as a strategic advisor and lateral integrator, providing project management activities for complex, high profile projects to drive successful execution of IT strategic initiatives. The positions essential duties include the following: Contribute to the planning and development of USAC-wide processes, tools, techniques, and measures for performing portfolio and project management, including automated tools and systems. Using the PMI framework and USAC IT PMO processes and standards, perform project management life-cycle activities for complex, high-profile projects. Ensure adherence to internal review processes and technical standards. Identify and engage all relevant USAC Stakeholders in assigned project initiatives, ensuring status reporting and two-way communication at the team and at the functional, senior, and executive management levels. Facilitate the Procurement process and manage outsourced work. Lead cross functional teams. Partner with Scrum Masters to drive the tactical execution of software development programs and projects. Conduct knowledge management and ensure appropriate knowledge transfer as part of project closing.
