Essential Skills and Competencies: . Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator with a focus on backup and restore operations. . Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Server 2019 and SQL Server 2022). . Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). . Experience in SSIS and SSRS development. . Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. . Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions . . Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. . Strong communication and teamwork abilities. . Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus. Required Technical Skills: 1. Database Administration: . Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security. . Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as indexing, integrity checks, and statistics updates. 2. Backup and Restore: . Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for databases to minimize data loss and downtime. . Execute database backups and perform periodic restores to validate the integrity of backup files. 3. Database Security: . Implement and manage database security measures, including user access control, roles, and permissions. . Ensure compliance with security policies and take proactive measures to protect sensitive data. 4. Performance Optimization: . Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize query performance. . Tackle issues related to query optimization, indexing, and resource utilization. 5. SSIS Development: . Design, develop, and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). . Collaborate with data management team and business users to understand data integration requirements. . Optimize and troubleshoot SSIS packages for efficient data movement. 6. SSRS Development: . Create, modify, and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. . Collaborate with business users to define reporting requirements. . Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports generated by SSRS 7. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: .
