Note: :What we wanted to tease out is the use of automation in the deployment of the PeopleSoft web and app servers. Can you confirm whether he used DPK at the command line ( and maybe in conjunction with Ansible) to create the various deployments This is the skill we are seeking. DPK/Automation skills are required they wont consider otherwise Job description: Right now, they are in a very much manual process in building servers, deployments, etc.. but the manager is looking to shift gears to Automate how they do things, to be more efficient and get upgrades done in a day versus several days/weeks. This person would be well versed in Cloud Methodology, good experience with Puppet Scripting. They would ideally be coming out of Higher Education where they worked in an Oracle PeopleSoft background, where they were leveraging PeopleSoft Deployment Package (DPK). Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 6 years of relevant experience or an associate degree with 8 years of relevant experience. Experience with Peoplesoft software application Experience with vendor ERP software, including installation, implementation, and administration. Experience with using Automation/DevOps tools such as Oracle DPK, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins, GitLab, Vagrant, etc. Experience with Oracle or SQL Server database. Experience and knowledge of Linux or Windows Operating Systems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience and ability to develop and maintain source code libraries and manage formal software releases for production environments. Experience with Oracle database administration using Oracle administrative tools. Experience with replication and clustering.
