Job Title: Sr. .Net/C# Developer Job Location: Hartford, CT (100%- ONSITE) Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic & Zoom/Skype Job Overview: This is primarily a VB.NET, SQL Server, and C# development and support role. Youll work with various business areas, such as trading, operations, finance, fund servicing/administration, compliance, business intelligence. Youll work with technology leaders, generating new ideas to support, maintain, improve, and modernize the business and technology. We work from high-level requests and requirements, and developers are expected to have a deep understanding of the business and its needs. We strive for an environment where people have the autonomy to pursue technical solutions without arbitrary constraints. A growth/learning mindset to continuously improve our techniques and tools is critical. Experience working in asset management, hedge fund, broker/dealer, investment company, or a similar financial company is required, as is several years experience in a heavily VB/.NET, SQL Server, and C# development environment. Youll ensure project status is transparent and up-to-date, documentation is created and maintained, and knowledge transfer occurs in a timely fashion. Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD) is important. Expectations: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, concise, transparent. Support, maintain, enhance, and develop software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company, focusing on testability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Provide support during business hours and after hours/on-call as needed. Collaborate with team and senior IT management to drive projects to completion. Perform development duties using the following requirements: Work in an Agile environment in Azure DevOps (Pipelines, GitHub, Boards, Wiki, Test Plans, etc.). Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS. Microsoft .NET Console & WinForms applications. Microsoft VB.NET, ASP.MVC, .NET Core. Tidal as an enterprise scheduler, but UC4, Autosys, ActiveBatch, etc., will suffice. Experience with at least one market data provider, such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv, MarkIT, etc. Experience with at least one OMS/IMS, such as CRD, Bloomberg, Linedata, etc. Desired Experience: 7+ years of VB.NET, SQL Server, and C# development and support experience in an asset management firm, hedge fund, or broker/dealer, with consummate business knowledge. Experience with the following is preferred, but not mandatory: Salesforce. Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Automate, etc.). Python would be great.
