Job Title-Senior MySQL Database architect Location-Remote/EST And CST Visa-Any Visa Except H1B, CPT, OPT Description GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions for an ECG data management product. This role encompasses maintaining, optimizing, and securing databases, implementing backup/recovery strategies, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliance with standards, collaborating on engineering solutions and maintaining documentation. Expert level skills in Database architecture and design are required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements, including data modeling and schema design Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans, indexing strategies, and resource allocation Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity Monitor database health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing issues Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance problems Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations by implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing Collaborate with software developers to design and implement efficient and scalable database schemas Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices Experience with Data Profiling (BI and Analytics) Stay up-to-date with emerging database technologies and industry trends to make informed recommendations for improvements EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: At least 5+ years of professional experience as a database architect. Advanced knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc. Prior experience with MySQL database is highly desired.
