Job Title: Automation Engineer Location: Alpharetta, GA (Locals Only) Job Type: 12 Months Contract Experience: 7-10 years only Note: Looking for only locals who can go for F2F interview Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automated solutions for industrial processes to improve efficiency and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and provide technical expertise. Lead the complete lifecycle of automation projects from concept to commissioning and ongoing support. Evaluate existing automation systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and standard operating procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in automation to recommend and implement best practices. Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field. Proven 7-10 years of experience in industrial automation, with a focus on PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI development. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, and Function Block Diagrams (FBD). Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet/IP. In-depth knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and process optimization. Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance in industrial automation. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to travel for project-related activities.
