This position involves researching, designing, and developing data warehouses as well as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Database Administrator Sr. is a vital role responsible for maintaining industry-standard geospatial databases and ensuring the integrity of the County's geospatial data infrastructure. This position involves researching, designing, and developing data warehouses as well as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. The candidate will engage with new technology and systems, requiring a commitment to continuous learning and innovation. The role demands balancing challenging tasks with rewarding outcomes in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in geospatial database design, development, and administration on enterprise DBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Experience in managing enterprise geodatabases supporting versioning, archiving, and multi-user editing. Proficiency in developing and administering automated ETL routines using custom scripts or COTS products. Strong skills in SQL and/or Python for data processing, analysis, and reporting. Experience in developing SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with the full stack of Esri ArcGIS Technology, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online, with a focus on Geodatabases. Experience in implementing best practices for SQL Server resource utilization, high-availability, and disaster recovery. Ability to develop and administer hosted map and feature services using ArcGIS Enterprise. Minimum five years of professional-level experience in geospatial database design, development, and administration. Experience in similar roles involving enterprise database management systems.
