JD The Splunk Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting an enterprise modernization effort for a large Health customer, with a focus on managing operations, managed services and application workloads as well as migration planning, modernization support and maintenance for the current and future applications hosted in the enterprises hybrid cloud environment. Day to day responsibilities will include supporting the full system life-cycle of Splunk across geographically dispersed enterprise data centers, customizing queries, reports and dashboards, monitor system stability and performance and ensure system availability, reliability and usability as well troubleshooting and resolving operational issues. Required Skills: 5+ years of experience working as a Cloud Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer / Administrator plus a bachelors degree. Experience with Splunk Search Processing Language. Experience creating Splunk dashboards. Experience with IT Service Intelligence (ITSI). General understanding of Splunk knowledge objects, i.e. fields, lookups, macros, etc. Coding experience in a structured and OOP way, i.e. Python, Golang, Ruby, C / C++. Shell scripting experience, i.e. bash. Experience configuring and maintaining monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk ITSI, Nagios, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus. Proficient with Incident Management tools, i.e. Splunk On-Call, PagerDuty. Experience with a variety of database technology, i.e. DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc. Experience with Automation and CI / CD tools, i.e. Argo, Jenkins, Travis, Ansible.
