MUST HAVES AND MUST BE OK WITH, make sure your summaries address each one: Vaxed, booster and flu shot required to 10 years as a Network Engineer. MUST have current Cisco Switch refresh experience Layer 3 switching, strong OSPF and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) are must haves for the switch refresh project. This is a Cisco Switch/Router refresh position for Hospital locations swapping out 10 to 12 year old switches/routers then configuring and installing new ones ( Cisco 9300's, 9410's, 9500's, 9606 core switches). Cutovers for hardware refresh starts around 5pm, 7pm or maybe 9pm based on location. Usually 5 hours long. Manager said, moving 1 port at a time takes a while. You'll work 1 night on/off and another Network Engineer will work the next night with 2 Technicians. During the day or night you'll do prep work for the next site you'll go to. This Network Engineer will have two Technician's that work with him/her. SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT INTERVIEW: Director has a tech drawing on interviews asking candidates about OSPF protocols, layer 3 switching and Spanning Tree protocols (STP). LOCATION: Upon initial engagement he/she will work at Cedars (LA) for 3 to 5 weeks to get familiar with the process. Then he/she would be shifted to Huntington (Pasadena) until we finish. The primary refresh will finish sometime in May or June, Then he/she would return to Cedars to work on that project until it is complete some time in 2025 or after. 90% on-site.
