Please let me know your interest in the below role- Role : Mainframe Application Developer - Principal Location: Onsite (Cincinnati, OH 45202), locals Visa : NO CPT/H1B Duration: 12+Months Interview: video Education and Experience Bachelors degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. 4 years experience in IBM Mainframes technologies: TSO Cobol SAS JCL VSAM IBM Mainframes Utilities. Linux/UNIX Including CHRON Scripting. MS SQL Studio. Four years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment. Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices tools and/or hardware technologies. Understanding of IT security best practices. Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional domains relevant to the position. Nice to Have: Experience working with the Solifi Info Lease application. Work experience on System integration projects is a plus. Knowledge of test automation tools and processes is a plus. Agility methodology. Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins Nexus Ansible is a plus. Exposure to Service Now. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must. Results driven attention to detail ability to work independently. Knowledge of file transfer. Ability to do Analysis and Design. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for the Info Lease 10 application and its corresponding integrations. 24x7 On-call Support. Assists with Audits and Annual Disaster Recovery Exercises. Assist with Info Lease tasks including Data Analysis Data Mapping Coding Testing Specification Creation Connectivity File Exchange/Transfers Security and Environment Management. WHAT YOULL DO: Job Responsibilities: Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of technical products and services. Seek to gain full understanding of the business technology roadmap and make recommendations on continued utilization or elimination of current third party software solutions. If working on an agile team work closely with product owner to ensure that user stories have enough specificity and clarity for the software developers to effectively meet customer needs. Liaison with software vendors for systems utilized by a particular line of business. Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards and participate in company communities of practice to continuously refine and communicate them. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Help achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable supportable and testable solutions Keep up with technology trends and innovations in fields of practice. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for team as products and services. Help to provide coaching mentoring and training for new or less experienced team members. Stay abreast of upcoming changes and enhancements in vendors software and how those changes will impact the business. Assists with the line of business or in support of a more senior Platform Engineer to help design solutions to incorporate software changes and effectively works with business partners to ensure effective implementation.
