| Role: Mainframe Developer Location: Remote Type: Contract Key Skill: Native C, Assembler on z/OS Job Description / Responsibilities Responsible for working on problems of complex scope, through extensive usage of standard concepts and principles. Should work as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance with independent planning and execution of responsibilities. Should have extensive knowledge of at least one development technology/ programming language. Should continue to build upon domain knowledge along with technical/proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise while adapting standard principles to new or changed conditions in day-to-day work. Should have the ability to respond to detailed queries. Should apply own judgement to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed independently post review. Fast learning and self-directed, flexible enough to work on new technologies as well as some legacy components. Excellent English skills - should be capable of communicating outstandingly in English, both verbally and in writing What We Are Looking For Strong experience in designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment. Strong experience of programming in C,C++, Assembler on z/OS Good Knowledge of build and test automation. Good knowledge of Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills on mainframe applications Must be proficient with problem determination, analysis and resolution. Experience in managing source code with Git repository or any other version control system. Desired (nice-to-have) Skills.
