| From: John Moses, NorthITE [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Security Engineer with strong AWS Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid 2-3days a week) Long Term Must be USC and local to VA for consideration Position Overview: Seeking a Security Engineer to support one of our flagship contracts with a focus on Experience in Cloud, DevSecOps, Container Security, IAM patterns, WAF/CDN/DDoS services, security, and governance tools. This role would be based in the DC Metro area and operate on East Coast Hours. This role would require a background test in Hacker-rank. On-site requirements are three days a week with occasional travel to Washington DC for required meetings. Responsibilities: Experience in Cloud, DevSecOps, Container Security, IAM patterns, WAF/CDN/DDoS services, security and governance tools Experience with data protection, cryptography, key management, identity, and access management (IAM), network security within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments Experience in secure software development in areas of platform resiliency, kernel and containers integrity, and Secure Development Life Cycle Hands-on experience in PKI and encryption algorithms and methods such as AES, ECDSA and RSA Experienced in one or more programming experience (Java, Python, Nodejs etc) Experienced with usage of orchestration platforms and container runtimes, infrastructure as code and cloud-native or multi-cloud environment (we use AWS, GCP and Azure) Perform vulnerability and impact assessments taking into account base, temporal, and environmental factors. Develop security features as part of the development and adopt the DevSecOps culture. Preferred Knowledge of industry regulatory and compliance requirements, including FedRAMP, PCI-DCSS, NIST, or HIPAA Knowledge of Open Security Architecture (OSA), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and Well Architected Frameworks Experience with Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) systems, including tuning, building queries, and integrating new data sources.
