Position: Sr Business Technology Solutions Analyst (Hybrid) Location: New York, NY Duration: 6+ months Job Description: The successful candidate in this role will be accountable from start to finish for successful and stable technology solutions deliveries to our Underwriting Community who have common needs and also product specific differing needs. Their experience in requirements gathering and analysis and translating that to Developers is what is required. Will Interface with stakeholders at many levels of the organization to understand the business needs and their short and long term strategic and operational goals. o Are expected to not only understand what the business is presenting or asking for, but also see past that to be able to recommend better and sometimes more expansive solutions. Will provide strong and detailed analysis with recommendations of innovative solutions that will meet those needs and improve efficiency and quality. Will translate functional business requirements into technical requirements/agile stories. Will know how to design a clean and seamless user experience and/or bring other teams together to collaborate on what will be the best user experience. And will understand and document the maintenance of any solution design. Will facilitate solutions delivery with our Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Scrum Masters and Testing teams. Will employ the best methodology, Waterfall or Agile in support of a monthly release plan. The solution being developed will drive the methodology chosen; the methodology will not drive the solution. In support of continuous improvement, you: o Will participate in production support and incident management. Including analyzing/troubleshooting support issues and when needed coordinating teams with judgment and knowledge to resolve problems. o Will independently ensure users and customers are provided correct, professional, courteous and timely responses. And will also independently follow-up with other teams when needed. o Will update and develop documentation. Examples: requirements/user stories, UI wireframes or screen design, technical specifications, use cases, data mapping/validations, business rules, and release and training materials. o Will be independently responsible for the consistency, clarity, and quality in all documentation and other artifacts by reviewing, validating, editing, rewriting, and authoring as necessary. o Will be responsible for sharing knowledge across organizational boundaries to ensure the highest level of service. o Will act as liaison between business and IT for assigned projects. Experience required: o 5-10 years working experience in the building and maintenance of Property & Casualty Insurance Policy Administration systems. Specialty Lines knowledge preferred. Experience in directing and guiding other Team members. Skills and Requirements: Outstanding analytical skills are a must and candidates should be prepared to provide examples of successes and failures when their analysis was the basis for improvements and change. Strong and clear writing skills translating business needs into technical requirements that Developers can easily understand is a must. Candidates able to provide examples of their work is desired. Has to have a proven history of organizing and communicating with the varied Teams already mentioned. This requires collaborative and consensus building strengths. The ability to balance multiple priorities and problem solve effectively and independently in a fast changing environment A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and its relationship to business processes and best practices.
