COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION IS BELOW FOR YOUR REVIEW: Job Title: ISERIES ADMIN Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN (Day 1 onsite) Hire Type: Contract Minimum requirements: 5+ years of experience supporting IBM i systems as a system administrator. 5+ years of experience with IBM iSeries hardware and software. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 5+ years of experience in AS400 Security Management, Communications, Operating System Upgrades and PTF deployment, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASP's), and Storage Based Replication. 5+ years of experience with iSeries work management including creating and modifying subsystems, OUTQs, JOBQs, JOBDs, etc. Has performed at least one major system hardware upgrade and at least one major operating system upgrade. 3+ years of experience in high availability software and multiple data centers, such as MIMIX and/or IBM HA. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing and analyzing database and audit journals. Experience with BRMS, Robot Scheduler, and Advanced Job Scheduler. Experience with Aldon, Performance Navigator (MPG), PowerTech Network Security and Trailblazer software. Networking skills for configuring and troubleshooting network connections. Practical understanding and experience with disaster recovery procedures and network security. Demonstrated capability in vendor relationship and contract management. Good knowledge of coding using RPG and DB2.
