Role : Microsoft 365 Administrator (Security) Client : Kforce || Blue Mantis LOCATION : Remote Technical Duties and Responsibilities 4 hours per day regular work 4 hours per day security and compliance Stay up to date with Microsoft 365 technologies, implement advancements in the organization, where reasonable and appropriate. Troubleshoot Microsoft 365-related issues. conducting post-mortems and root cause analyses for IT service outages. Lead projects in assessing company's Microsoft 365 environment which includes service health, major announcements and overall utilization of Microsoft 365. Train leveraged Helpdesk and Service Desk teams on new technology in the Microsoft 365 environment. Work closely with existing onboarding and offboarding processes and teams. Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within the Microsoft 365 environment as necessary automate functions to optimize the onboarding and offboarding experience. Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams. Monitor and optimize Microsoft 365 performance, security, and availability. Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online for efficient email communication. Implement and manage email security measures, including anti-phishing and anti-malware solutions. Collaborate with end-users to provide support for email-related issues. Configure and support Microsoft Teams for effective collaboration and communication. Manage SharePoint Online for document storage, sharing, and collaboration. Ensure seamless integration of Microsoft 365 applications with other systems. Provide user support for Microsoft 365 applications and services. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance user proficiency. Address user queries and resolve technical issues promptly. Implement and enforce security policies, including data loss prevention (DLP) and access control. Monitor for compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Assist with the remediations found in regular security assessments and vulnerability assessments. Assist in designing data backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. Assist with developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans for Microsoft 365 services. Maintain accurate documentation of Microsoft 365 configurations and changes. Generate and monitor reports on system performance, usage, and security. Required Qualifications Active Microsoft 365 Certifications such as the MS-500 and SC-200. Active CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+, Cloud+, and Security+, or equivalent that certify core IT and security competencies. 10 or more years of experience in Microsoft 365 Administration Preferred Qualifications Mastery of all Microsoft 365 services such as Entra ID, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Exchange Online, Defender XDR, and Purview. Project Management experience. Preferred Skills and Abilities Professionalism, integrity, ownership, teamwork, collaboration, efficiency, timeliness, and soft skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Understanding of the mission, goals, and objectives of the organization. Technical documentation skills. Evidence of strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and effective oral and written communication/public relation skills.
