| From: Vijay Reddy, VSB Tech consulting services [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Hi DevOps Lead Carlsbad, CA( Day1 Onsite) RESPONSIBILITIES: Build, maintain, and improve core AWS Infrastructure leveraging ECS, API Gateway, Lambdas, S3, and other supporting AWS technologies. Build automated scaling capabilities to support usage patterns that can vary wildly intra-day. Build CI/CD pipeline with development staff, focusing on Continuous Deployment, leveraging cloud formation, Terraform, Docker, and serverless technologies. Always maintain vigilance on infrastructure security, access rights, and SLA risks Monitor platform health always. Build methods to allow others to monitor the health of specific platform areas. Monitor platform costs always. Develop cost management techniques related to usage and implement scaling and distribution as appropriate. Support product development in understanding logging/monitoring/alerting needs to set up a reliable early-warning system of degraded performance for all core services. Work with Product Owners and Architects to understand core use cases and user stories to anticipate infrastructure requirements, contribute to the actionable roadmap, participate in technical decomposition, and detail DevOps needs to refine stories for sprint execution. Execute core infrastructure design via code contribution, adhering to the standards of quality and agile methods of execution. Document effectively to support compliance and internal stakeholder knowledge. Work with multi-functional teams to assimilate and make actionable feedback from various sources, including internal stakeholders, other developers, and users. Support troubleshooting activities in the event of production issues, often with rapid response and potentially outside of standard working hours. Required Skills and Experience: B.S. or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering, with 7+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and software delivery using AWS and DevOps practices Experience with AWS cloud platform - EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, IoT Core, and others Experience with DevOps tools - CloudFormation/Terraform, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarCube, and others. Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows, containers, databases, scripting Ability to work with distributed teams to provide technical guidance and leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while leading the team Solid understanding of the common challenges with migrations and modernizations, the ability to choose the right path based on previous experience Experience of the full software development life cycle: from requirements gathering and functional specification authoring to development, testing, and delivery Extensive experience working with large, distributed infrastructures Awareness about security standards (PCI , AWS Foundational) Preferred: AWS Certified SysOps Associate / DevOps Professional AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate / Professional Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment sthree California |
