This is a Business PM/Operations PM, not an IT/Technical PM . Personality is HUGE for this manager and will be the deciding factor. Airline/Aviation is nice to have, but not most important skillset. The manager references PMs coming out of fast-paced environments like Amazon or similar would do well in this role. While this role is NOT a CTH role, candidates with a bachelors degree and the ability to convert without sponsorship will take priority. This manager is NOT open to considering non-local, relocation candidates Notes: Must be local and able to work onsite 2+ days per week in Arlington Heights IL. This is non-negotiable. Part of the Enterprise PMO team (dispatch team under NOC in Arlington Heights). Theres a third-party tool that will be used by their dispatcher team that is currently facing a lot of issues. This PM will be leading the management of this product from a business perspective. Required: This is a Business PM, NOT an IT/Technical PM . Must have strong Project Management experience. Personality is HUGE for this manager; this is the first thing theyre looking for and will make the hire for a strong personality. Must have experience working in an Agile environment. Preferred: Certifications are a huge bonus for this manager (PMP, Agile certs, Scrum certs, Change Management certs, etc.). Experience working with products is a bonus. The manager is NOT looking for a Product Owner. Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment like Amazon; people coming from retail, logistics, and similar companies would do well in this role. Bachelors degree is highly preferred but not required (would like to see candidates that are able to convert and have the bachelors degree, although this is not a true CTH role). Airline / aviation experience is nice to have, but not the most important skill. Interview process: Multiple interviews; likely 3-4 rounds of interviews. Deal breakers: Overly technical, IT PM. This is NOT a technical PM, its more of a Senior Business PM. A PM coming from a very structured environment and someone who is very process oriented. They need someone who is flexible, can work in a fast-paced environment, and wear many hats. Someone who has been in one company their whole career wont do well; theyd like this person to have a diverse background.
