Role: Oracle Database Administrator Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Client: NY State Description The APD project is designed to deliver an integrated health care data warehouse and analytic platform to provide policymakers, researchers, and consumers with a comprehensive repository of health care information. The NY APD will be used for quality measurement, population health monitoring, value-based purchasing, research, and consumer information. Duties Research and provide input on technical designs for database architecture in environments. Implement design to meet highly complex business needs and technical design document, and support design, creation and testing. Establish processes for and manage database access and permissions. Review and manage database security, integrity, and backups. Monitor database performance, including incident and problem management. Monitor database usage and provide reports to technical manager and team to inform design changes. Create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code and technical documentation. Assist end users with database activities such as table creation and indexing related to data loading, view creation, and other database functions. Troubleshoot complex end user technical issues, identify problems and leading solutions. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Uses specialized software to store and organize data, which may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.
