Job Description: The State of Oregon is actively seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager with expertise in managing both Infrastructure and Application Development/Implementation projects. The ideal candidate will hold a PMP Certification and have a strong background in technical infrastructure, including server, network, and Active Directory, as well as application implementations or re-hosting projects. Responsibilities: Project Oversight and Coordination: Manage and coordinate the migration of systems and services between service providers, collaborating with internal subject matter experts. Utilize PMBoK best practices to ensure effective project management. Set milestones, deadlines, and assignments, monitoring and summarizing project progress. Reporting and Communication: Oversee and report on all aspects of project activities, milestones, and performance metrics to the project Executive team. Provide regular updates on project status, issues, and risks. Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management. Ensure the continued availability of mission-critical services throughout the project lifecycle. Quality Checks and Analysis: Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to project standards and requirements. Perform analysis as needed to address project challenges and optimize performance. Requirements: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Six (6) years of experience as a software application Project Manager, or eight (8) years of equivalent work experience. Skills and Qualifications: PMP Certification is highly desirable. Proven experience with technical infrastructure, application implementations, and re-hosting projects. Familiarity with PMBoK best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Personal Attributes: Self-reliant and capable of quickly getting up to speed on project requirements. Demonstrated ability to take the lead in driving project initiatives. Additional Information: This is a local contractor position, and work is to be performed on-site in Salem, Oregon.
