(no relocations) with DL copy LinkedIn account Role: IT Project Manager - Senior Location: Onsite for the 1st 4 months - Hybrid after that (3 days on/2 days remote) at 77 Dorrance Street, Providence, RI. Duration: 1-year contract extensions possible. Interview: Video The Senior Project Manager has overall responsibility for overseeing Project Management Activities regarding system replacements, transitions, and enhancements for the Office of Child Support. This role will be instrumental in supporting the State team in establishing Statements of Work and Business Requirements for upcoming procurements and supporting the execution of new contracts, and the related transition and vendor management. This includes coordination between all the vendor and State agencies (business and IT) as well as partner vendors involved in business case development, requirements, application development, testing and deployment. In addition, the Sr. Project Manager will assist in leading governance activities across the project to ensure key deliverables and milestones are met in accordance to defined standards and best practices. Responsibilities of the Sr. Project Manager require strong project management, knowledge of software development processes and exceptional leadership and communication skills. This resource will report both to the Office of Child Support and to the Department of Information Technology. Responsibilities include: Provide Project Management expertise in the oversight of a system implementation. Function as a Business Analyst in situations requiring a Liaison between Agency, IT, and Vendor resources to communicate requirements and ensure delivery and compliance. Clarify and resolve issues. Provide project (phase/timeline/budget) reporting to IT and Agency Leadership, as needed. Create and maintain a robust and inclusive project plan while actively managing relevant work streams of the program throughout each phase. Establish and manage a RAID log (risks, actions, issues, decisions) throughout the entire program. Create and update weekly status reports of the project, create content for weekly team meetings to highlight accomplishments, upcoming activities, updates to RAID log and project plan. Lead the implementation phase in conjunction with systems integrator & software vendor partners and stake holders from State (SMEs, program management etc.) Lead the post-implementation phase including coordinating resources and providing direct assistance with troubleshooting of production support issues, deployment/cutover, period close activities and system/business process optimization, identification of additional training opportunities / content delivery mechanisms, as required. Ensure Change Management is happening in a strategic manner throughout the duration of the program providing thought leadership based on experience and expertise. Help establish a super user network of business SMEs who can continue to support the system and associated processes during the implementation phase as we near phased go-live events and throughout the post-implementation phase.
