Hot Role Candidate Must Local to Texas Job Title: Project Manager Location: Austin T XHybrid Duration: 10+ months duration, with good chances of extension. The Strategy, Planning and Technology team requires contractor support of an Innovation Program Coordinator (Project Manager 2) to help develop, implement, and sustain an innovation office within the division that caters to all Austin Energy business units and division innovation-based needs. This resource will be responsible for the planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status of innovation-based efforts. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS : Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a program management or similar field associated to innovation practices. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive broad-based information systems, system integration and project delivery experience. Experience working with external vendors and/or Quality Assurance efforts a plus. Expertise in developing, implementing, and sustaining innovation-based office practices and processes. Has experience with assessing software interfaces, hardware specifications, installation requirements and processes, along with customer support technology. The Innovation Program Coordinator will need experience that includes budget development, management, and oversight of innovation projects. Experience with emerging technologies in the utility sector. Experience with vendor and contractor management for project components to include hardware, construction, and software delivery. Ability to coordinate both internally and externally to project completion. Lead strategy and direction from intake inception to delivery. Experience with quality assurance of engineering designs and construction process tied to utility sector infrastructure.
