Title: Infrastructure Engineer/Unix Engineer Location: Stamford, CT Type: Contract Job Description: The role is for the Ecommerce Infra team working in the US NWM Infra team. The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and 2nd level support of a large-scale infrastructure environment. Role/Team Summary: The US Technology team focuses on numerous components of the electronic trading application environment. The applications are mainly third party engineered and customised for in-house requirement, both locally and in conjunction with the global team based in London and India. The US team plays a critical role in adapting and improving the software and hardware to meet the eTrading/Infra requirement. The team is responsible to maintain a wide range of applications, appliances, software, policy, and licence. Given the small size of the team, the team looks after the front and back delivery and maintenance of the product. Essential Experience: (Must have skills) Minimum 5 years experience of UNIX/Linux with strong scripting experience (Unix Shell/ Perl) Experience of Bluecoat or any proxy server product. Management of Load Balancer and Application Switching technologies Management of Proxy/Cache appliances Application-Layer or XML Firewall technologies Experience of Apache Web Server technologies. Experience of supporting Java EE platforms (JBOSS, Websphere Administration). Experience of supporting Microsoft Windows platform with IIS 6.0 & 7.0 with Web Services & COM+ Comprehensive network skills with a thorough understanding of TCP/IP & Name resolution technologies. PKI, LDAP & Single Sign On Technologies Proven experience of complete project lifecycle, and exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum). Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills) Provide 2nd/3rd line support of global eCommerce, Internet and intranet environments.
