It's perfectly fine if your candidates don't have all of the qualifications, but please make sure they have experience developing tests specifically for server hardware infrastructure. Not just running tests and modifying them, but creating as needed. Location : Redmond WA The candidate will have to be onsite as needed for the project, this will vary depending on the changing needs of the project and the team. So we don't have any specifics like X days onsite and Y days remote, etc. it will vary. Visa : GC & USC Required Qualifications: Must be able to come onsite to Redmond WA as necessary; this will vary depending on the project. We will need this person to be able to come on-site at approx. an hour's notice if needed. BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related degree 5+ years of relevant experience in server systems/platforms design and development for enterprise or cloud market segments. Hands-on experience in server hardware architecture, design, and development with solid understanding of hardware, firmware, and OS interfaces. Experience in leading technology development in HW/FW area. Strong technical communication skills (verbal and written) to interface with cross-functional technical leads within and/or outside of the organization. Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills. Familiar with networking, power, rack device management and remote access environments Experience in performance benchmarking tools such as SPEC workloads, Linpack Experience in GPUs, and various networking standards including InfiniBand Experience in windows and Linux operating systems, test automation and hyperscale testing covering hundreds of Systems under Test. Good understanding and experience in device drivers and debugging issues related to interactions with HW subsystem Preferred Qualifications: Prior Experience working for a cloud company that deploys server and server racks to data centers Experience in server design Experience in server FW development Experience in data management systems such as OnePDM or similar Experience in remote data management Experience working with Taiwan or Chinas OEM or ODMs Experience in generating process flows using Visio or equivalent tools Experience or knowledge in running SQL queries Knowledge of PowerBI Experience in troubleshooting server hardware HW or FW issues Knowledge of Data center power requirements General knowledge of GPU hardware and GPU suppliers Knowledge of design and Product validation, Design validation and Engineering validation(PV/DV/EV) Knowledge of Microsoft office tools Knowledge of server components such as DIMMs, SSD, HDD, CPUs, Security IC, Flash Drives, Network Interface cards and FPGAs General understanding of server cooling technologies Knowledge of Storage Hardware and storage architecture Ability to debug a HW or FW problems Ability to work off hours to support OEM issues Experience in evaluating off the shelf OEM hardware designs, HW/FW/OS interactions, platform config trade-offs, performance tuning and optimizations is required. Understanding how standard server interfaces, such as PCIe, SATA, and memory, work with their respective software stacks. Functional knowledge of secure boot, attestation, FW update & recovery on server platform architectures. Experience in platform HW and FW security capabilities (RoT) and implementations. Familiarity with NIST 800 standards as it pertains to FW support for secure update and secure recovery. Experience in Server platform HW designs or Server platform validation with knowledge of system level firmware, will be an added advantage. Experience in platform level test architecture and usage of debug tools like (ITP, Arium, ARM JTAG tools or equivalent). Volume hardware test and debug expertise Experienced in debugging complex system level issues and ability to root-cause/identifying potential fixes down to a board hardware, signal integrity, CPLD, thermal and Firmware components, OS is required.
