| Role: GIS Developer (Geographic Information System) Location: Houston, TX (Day 1 Onsite) Remote: No, Hybrid-2-3 Days Exp:9+ JD: This is a pure dev role so needs a hands on person who has been coding in GIS PFB the JD. This is very extensive and as long as someone has the required skills we can move forward with a client interview/profile review. Position Description: Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to challenging problems in the oil and gas industry . Work closely with business stakeholders to implement, deploy, and support geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools. Support existing GIS solutions and data workflows. Integrate disparate datasets from dozens of systems and tie them spatially. Skills (required) Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Geographic Information Science, or related field of study. At least 5 years of experience in GIS and ESRI technologies. Domain knowledge of ESRIs product platform (Desktop, Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, AGO, Portal, ESRI Javascript API, WebApp Builder, etc.) Experience in Python and SQL. Knowledge of GIS/geospatial workflows (geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, geocoding, etc.) Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
