Title: BFF (Backend For Frontend) Architect Location: Issaquah, WA (Hybrid model 3 days onsite per week) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated BFF (Backend For Frontend) Layer Architect using Java and Spring boot, with a strong proficiency in Azure DevOps Pipeline. As a BFF Layer Architect, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services that power ecommerce channels. Your expertise in Azure DevOps Pipeline will be essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient development and deployment process. Candidate will be responsible for following: Define and architect the BFF layer to optimize communication and data flow between frontend and backend systems. Collaborate with system architects to align the BFF layer architecture with overall system architecture and business goals. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in the implementation of BFF layer solutions. Mentor developers in adopting best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend and backend developers, QA engineers, and project managers, to ensure alignment with architectural goals. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices. Identify opportunities for optimization and performance enhancement in the BFF layer architecture. Collaborate with development teams to implement improvements and address performance bottlenecks. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field with 12 + years of relevant IT experience Extensive experience in BFF layer architecture and design, with a deep understanding of API design principles. Proven experience as a Java Spring boot developer with Azure DevOps pipeline Understanding of technology blocks of digital commerce ecosystem In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices, including version control, automated testing, and deployment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire development teams towards architectural goals. Desirable Skills: Having experience of multi country, multi brand digital marketing and commerce implementations Experience of leading discovery workshops Agile Development Methodology experience is advantageous. Soft Skills: Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills Strong skills to effectively interface with client. Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.
