This includes the following responsibilities & technologies areas: Proficient with Scripting and Automation of VDI Templates, VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Operating Systems. Candidate must also be diligent with the creation of technical documentation and able to present internally to customers, peers and leaders. IDEAL BACKGROUND: Working in a large virtualized environment would be ideal or experience with large IT infrastructure (20k+ virtual machine deployment). TOP REQUIREMENTS: Proficient with Scripting, Automation and Orchestration (Powershell/PowerCLI, JSON, Python, GIT, Jenkins, Packer) Two years+ configuring scalable and highly available infrastructure for persistent and non-persistent Windows 10/11 VDI Three years+ Supporting Desktop OS along with security tools and third party agents Three years+ Managing golden images for Windows 10/11 Horizon VDI Three years+ Supporting and upgrading VMware Suite of products *** What experience will set candidates apart from one another Strong experience with Infrastructure Automation and Operations. Strong experience with VDI core technologies (Load Balance, Network, User Profile management, Protocols) Primary Responsibilities Manage a Multi-Pod VMware Horizon Infrastructure. Support modern Windows 10/11 golden images for all VDI environments Support patching and application updates Work with the VDI team to refine and implement logging, alerting, and monitoring Communicate effectively with Service Reliability Engineers and DevOps team Participate in On-Call responsibilities Candidate will be working on a team of 10+ Virtual Workspace Dev-Ops engineers Required skills/attributes: Energetic self-starter with a positive/flexible attitude Hungry to learn technology in Healthcare IT Proficient use of scripting technologies (PowerShell, PowerCLI) Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols Communication at all levels and the ability to write strong technical documentation Experience with Logging & Monitoring tools such as Grafana, or an equivalent Preferred skills/attributes: Certifications: VMware Certified Professional Datacenter Virtualization, VMware Advanced Professional Desktop Management Design, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
