Job Title: Drupal Developer Department: San Francisco Human Services Agency (SFHSA) Location: San Francisco, CA Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Onsite Duration: One year (12 months) Additional Information: Candidate MUST have at least 10 years of total IT experience and government experience ideally with California government agencies. Project Scope: SFHSA serves as the foundation for three City Departments, each with a unique role in supporting San Franciscans. Together we build well-being in our communities by offering programs that make children and adults feel connected, valued, and supported. From financial assistance to nutrition, health care coverage, employment, and protective services, our dedicated professionals are here to lend support for all in need. We in the Information Technology department support the technical needs for the ~2,000 employees of the HSA. We are currently seeking a Drupal Developer to help us make key upgrades and improvements to our agency intranet that will help our staff in their daily work lives. Update SFHSA.orgs Intranet based on research and usability feedback. This will include both front- and back-end work in Drupal 9. The intranet was launched as a Drupal site in 2019 with 3 primary goals: - To make work more efficient by providing quick, easy access to key documents and support - To broadcast agency- and program-wide information to all HSA staff - To build community among employees Since the sites launch, there has been minimal feature iteration. We will be undertaking a project to analyze and update the features on the Intranet to better address these 3 key goals. Roles/Responsibilities: Task 1: Update UI of existing features and add new features Task 1 Deliverables: Update breadcrumb visual design Debug menu display issues Update employee lookup in admin (search) to work on first name, last name, email, etc. Create new types of employee spotlight Update information architecture and navigation design to support deeper menus Fix anchor scrolling Create a no results screen for search results Fix visual design for Steps component Re-architect menu blocks in left sidebar Task 2: Port components from sfhsa.org to the Intranet. SFHSA.org is now in Drupal 9, which makes compatibility of components across the Intranet and SFHSA.org. SFHSA.org has a larger component library than the Intranet. Bring existing SFHSA.org components to the Intranet, making necessary adaptations for site design and configuration Task 2 Deliverables: Card group component ported to intranet Banner component ported to intranet Table component ported to intranet Video component ported to intranet Gallery component ported to intranet Locations map ported to intranet Implement sections for multi-column layout on basic pages Task 3: Update analytics on the Intranet The Intranet currently has a rudimentary implementation of Google Analytics. Support Digital Services and Researchers in expanding and refining our analytics tools. Task 3 Deliverables: H. Create new analyst role with appropriate permissions Install CrazyEgg on the Intranet J. Update Google Analytics to GA4 K. Implement events for GA4 Task 4: Implement automated testing on the Intranet to replace manual regression testing Task 4 Deliverables: L. Defined test roadmap, developed in collaboration with tech lead and business analyst M. Test scripts written for all top priority workflows N. Automated tests implemented to replace manual regression testing Project Success Criteria Improved usability of the intranet for both content authors and front end users Complete component library with feature parity to sfhsa.org Analytics tools support iterative learning about usage Automated testing replaces manual regression testing Mandatory Skills: 3 years of Drupal software development experience 2 years of front-end development experience 2 years of back end development experience Desirable Skills: N/A Other Requirements: At least three (3) client references from the past ten (10) years with the following details.
