Candidate must be local toNew Jersey and must have 12+ years of an experience Mainframe Developer - Hybrid Client: State of New Jersey - NJAOC Job ID: 728019 Location: Trenton, NJ Duration: 1+ years Interview mode: Skype Job Description SENIOR HANDS-ON developer with good communication & some leadexp. responsible for analysis, design, coding, component & assembly testing. Contractor will be involved in maintenance (incl prod. support) enhancement& development work. Hybrid position - 3 days remote, 2 days onsite. Note this is a SENIOR position. Candidate should be a Current Hands-onDeveloper with some lead experience. The ideal candidate can: *Clearly and effectively communicate both written and oral with technical andnon-technical personnel. Contractor wll be responsible for analysis, design, coding, component &assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team.Contractor will be involved in maintenance (including production support),enhancement & development work. SUMMARY: Contractor will be required to collaborate and provide technical expertise tothe Information Technology Office and the Business unit to develop a technicalsolution to implement business/system requirements. All contractor personnel will be under the direct supervision of a ProjectManager for the AOCs Information Technology Office (ITO) or other designatedITO representative. The Solution Architect - Mainframe will develop and/or receive programspecification requirements. These specifications will describe the coding to bedone. Contractor will be required to deliver new or modified programs, successfullyunit test their work, develop supportive documentation, and participate withthe users in the system testing of their programs. Experience with database conversions is desired and helpful. 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study Qualifications and Skills: *Current hands-on experience in coding, testing and debugging programs writtenin COBOL/CICS/DB2. *Experience with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM/DB2. *Experience with CICS *Experience in conversions for IDMS/DC to CICS, IDMS toDB2 desired. *Experience in Usability Testing (participate with the users in the systemtesting of programs) *Experience in APPC/LU 6.2 or MQ Programming in Cobol-CICS. *Experience in coding complex DB2 Stored Procedures Responsibilities: *Attain a complete understanding of the Criminal Case Management system andadditional Judiciary applications in order to develop from the business/systemrequirements. *Develop and/or receive program specification requirements. *Contractor will be required to deliver new or modified programs. *Successfully unit test their work and system testing of programs with users. *Develop supportive documentation.
