The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in setting up and utilizing observability pipelines, APMs, infrastructure monitoring, Linux, Kubernetes, AWS sysops, and scripting skills. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems through effective monitoring and observability practices. 12-15 Years experience is required Position: Senior Ops Engineer Lead Location: Irvine, CA (Remote Travel required) Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage observability pipelines utilizing tools like Vector, Fluent bit, and Open Telemetry, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in these technologies. Utilize APM tools like Grafana and related instrumentation to optimize application performance and reliability. Lead the implementation and usage of metrics, logging, and tracing solutions for comprehensive infrastructure and application monitoring. Demonstrate practical hands-on knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring, including metrics, logging, and trace data analysis. Proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes environments, managing and optimizing these systems for performance and reliability. Extensive AWS sysop skills for managing cloud-based systems and infrastructure. Basic scripting skills in Bash, Lua, Python, or similar languages for automation and orchestration tasks. Set up and manage PAC Virtual Racks and AWS environments as required for development and testing purposes. Develop and execute integration tests to validate system performance and reliability. Requirements: 6+ years of experience in a relevant Ops Engineer or similar role. Strong expertise in setting up and utilizing observability pipelines like Vector, Fluent bit, and familiarity with Open Telemetry is advantageous. Proven hands-on experience with APM tools such as Grafana and related instrumentation tools. Extensive practical knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring encompassing metrics, logging, and tracing. Proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes administration and optimization . Advanced AWS sysop skills and experience managing AWS-based infrastructure. Basic scripting skills in Bash, Lua, Python, or equivalent languages. Ability to set up and manage PAC Virtual Racks and AWS environments for development and testing purposes. Experience in developing and executing integration tests for system validation.
