Familiarity with the hospitality industry, property management systems, and e-commerce is a plus. The client is a company in hospitality/ renting their properties similar to HomeAway and VRBO. Rate is flexible for the right candidate but not a lot. Hospitality Reservations/ Airlines/Cruise Lines/Hotels/Travel Sites (Expedia) Property Management Reservations/Online Booking/Air BnB / HomeAway/VRBO type companies. eCommerce Online Retail/Shopping Carts/Order fulfillment/ Rewards/Payment transactions. Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and pragmatic Lead Product Manager who thrives in a startup environment. Responsibilities include managing multiple priorities, driving projects to completion, being self-driven, empathetic to guest and internal needs, and using a data-driven approach. Experience with third-party integrations, UX skills, and analytics tools (Looker, Heap, Google Analytics) is essential. Familiarity with the hospitality industry, property management systems, and e-commerce is a plus. What Youll Do Product Management Leadership: Act as the primary representative for product management in all daily activities related to the roll-out of products or enhancements, and serve as an important resource for the team, including escalating key issues to leadership. Digital and Technology Roadmap Implementation: Drive the implementation of the business's digital and technology roadmap, ensuring development teams understand product goals and priorities. Tech Roadmap Development: Lead the prioritization and development of the Tech roadmap, delivering value to guests, internal stakeholders (Guest Experience Team, Customer Experience, Marketing, Finance), and the business. Business Challenges Interpretation: Interpret internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with all impacted teams, including creative and technology, to gather requirements for all aspects of a project. Best Practices Application: Utilize industry best practices, competitive research, and data-driven analysis with tools like Heap and Looker to deliver high-quality products. Technology Team Management: Assist in managing the technology team and leading agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Documentation and Issue Management: Create Product specifications, opportunity documents, and release notes, write JIRA tickets and user stories, and manage the logging and triaging of incoming issues, questions, and ideas. Vendor and Budget Management: Manage technology vendor relations, contracts, and budget in collaboration with our Director of Technology. Who You Are Experience: 6+ years of Product Management experience. Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including wireframing and flowcharting. Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze data and communicate insights compellingly to stakeholders. Proficiency in SQL, Google Analytics, Heap, or similar tools is a plus. Problem Solving: Ability to lead others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including the Technology team, Regional Directors, Marketing Team, Community Leads, and C-Suite. Technical Background: Experience with software development, product management, project management practices, and A/B testing. Cross-Functional Influence: Proven ability to work and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. UX Skills: Experience providing feedback using UX concepts & best practices. Some programming or past UX experience is ideal. Leadership: A fantastic communicator who can serve as a key leader among various team members, including Marketing, Guest Experience, Outpost Teams, Community (Customer Experience), Finance, and Legal. Analytical Thinking: A strong critical thinker with qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. Comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in identifying website performance and revenue drivers, and seeking product gaps. Product Expertise: Familiar with common frameworks and best practices in product management. Experience in building products from concept to launch, measuring and iterating on them.
