Onsite or Remote Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense. (8+ yrs) Coding experience in .Net MVC and/or .Net Core framework, including C#, VB.Net, Javascript and Bootstrap. (8+ yrs) Experience coding applications in Angular. Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL. Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management. Audio and video must be in sync. 60 Minutes Knowledge Services: RFS Microsoft .NET Web Developer III DNR Position Description The Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Management Division (EM), Bureau of Drinking Water and Groundwater seeks to hire a Microsoft .NET Web Developer III to design, develop, test, implement and maintain features for application in .NET & Angular. The Drinking Water and Groundwater program has a groundwater data application, relied upon for core business needs. The developer needs to provide reliable, responsive support and updates to these systems. This work requires about 50%-time (@20 hrs/week) work for a candidate with advanced developer skillsets and experience. The most qualified candidate will have: Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework. Coding experience in .Net MVC and/or .Net Core framework, including C#, VB.Net, Javascript and Bootstrap. Experience coding applications in Angular. Experience applying Object Oriented Design. Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications. Experience in SSRS for developing reports. Experience creating web APIs. Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL. Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management. Experience with coding standards and best practices. Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results. Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Collaborates with others and is a team player to ensure project success. Additional skillsets that will also be helpful: Experience writing technical documentation. Experience with SharePoint. This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Supervisor, Application Architect, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software and tools. Tasks of this position include, but are not limited to: 1. Orienting self to current applications by working with others 2. Identifying a solution/design working in collaboration with project team members. 3. Coding programs and applications using DNR standards and guidance for best coding and database practices, adhering to security requirements. This includes any integrations with other systems. 4. Structure code to meet standards for efficiencies and maintainabiltiy. 5. Testing the applications by documenting scenarios and test results using DNR approved tools and processes. 6. Managing code and version control using Azure DevOps 7. Assisting with deploying the web-based applications, batch jobs and reports. 8. Working on priority tasks and keeping tasks updated with current status in Azure DevOps. Providing input on estimates/timeline for tasks. 9. Implementation of user interface changes/bug fixes based on feedback from team, users and testers. 10. Maintaining the backend Oracle database to support the needs of the applications. 11. Creating clear and up to date documentation for the projects configuration and code base. Additional specific project involvment include, but are not limited to: Well Notifications Project NR812 Tracking System Enhancements Developer must follow DNR standards and procedures for management and versioning of source code, file management and change management processes. The developer must look out for security concerns or issues when developing applications and follow security related protocols. Applications must be built and supported in compliance with Federal and State requirements.
