Please find below requirement and let me know your interest Sr.Cobol Developer with Fujitsu NetCobol or MicroFocus Location: Irvine, CA Onsite Duration: Long term 10+ years of experience required Keywords: COBOL, Fujitsu NetCobol or MicroFocus Cobol We are seeking a Sr.Cobol developer to support the SMARTS (Investment Book of Records development) team. The candidate needs to develop, manage-his assignments, support existing and new functionality for our in-house suite of applications written in Cobol. Responsibilities will include hands-on analysis, design, development, creation and execution of test plans according to State Streets published Development Process Framework. Additionally, the candidate will engage in production support.Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Sr.Cobol Developer. Experience with Fujitsu NetCobol or MicroFocus Cobol desired. Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases required (Sybase a plus). MQ, Unix and Unix shell scripting a plus. Solid experience in full software development cycle, including application architecture, technical specs, analysis, software development, testing large-scale software applications, assisting SQA teams with UAT testing, production support. Experience in the financial industry with knowledge of trade flow and corporate actions a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Exceptional interpersonal communication and strong team collaboration skills. Good task/project management skills. Possesses the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Experience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios. Aptitude for learning new things and flexibility to adapt and follow guidelines.
