Role :: Security Qualys Administrator Location :: 100% Remote Type :: Contract Responsibilities: Administer and maintain the Qualys platform, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability. Configure and customize Qualys scans, policies, and reporting to meet organizational security and compliance requirements. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments using Qualys tools to identify security weaknesses in systems, applications, and network infrastructure. Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Utilize Qualys tools to monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Generate compliance reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans related to vulnerabilities and security incidents detected by Qualys scans. Work closely with the security team to investigate and respond to security incidents. Integrate Qualys with other security tools and systems to enhance overall security posture. Implement automation scripts for routine tasks, scans, and reporting to improve efficiency. Provide training and support to IT teams on Qualys tools and best practices. Maintain up-to-date documentation on Qualys configurations, processes, and procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Qualys Administrator or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of QualysGuard vulnerability management and related modules. Familiarity with industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Strong understanding of network and system security principles. Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus. Relevant certifications such as Qualys Certified Specialist (QCS) or Qualys Certified Specialist - Vulnerability Management (QCSV) are desirable.
