Location : Kansas City(Hybrid) This is a W2 position. Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake data warehouse solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning. Responsibilities : Design and implement Snowflake data warehouses, including schema design, table structures, and views. Optimize query performance and troubleshoot issues related to data processing and loading. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions. Able to translate mapping specifications to data transformation design and development strategies and code, incorporating standards and best practices for optimal execution. Implement and manage data pipelines for ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Able to work on data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipelines using cloud-based testing and clear document implementations. Monitor and maintain the health of Snowflake environments, addressing any issues promptly. Stay informed about industry best practices and new features in Snowflake, incorporating them into our data architecture. Able to provide data ingestion and processing pipelines using Python, Databricks, SnowSQL. Qualifications : Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum 4-6 years of experience in design and implementation of large-scale data solution on Azure Snowflake Data Warehouse Proven professional experience as a Database Engineer or similar role. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehousing platform. Strong SQL skills for data modeling, querying, and optimization. Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures. Preferred Qualifications : Snowflake certification is a prerequisite. Experience with data security and encryption in Snowflake. Knowledge of Snowflake's features for data sharing and multi-cluster warehouse configurations. Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages. Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes. Professional Experience : Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing Snowflake data warehouses. Proven ability to work on complex projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
