We are seeking a talented Video Engineer to play a key role in optimizing and delivering high-quality streaming video experiences to our vast user base. Responsibilities: Streaming Video Expertise: Demonstrate familiarity with both short-form and long-form streaming video, encompassing systems, encoding/decoding processes, protocols, playout, and quality metrics. Video Service Quality: Understand and address factors influencing video service quality and degradation, ensuring an optimal viewing experience for our users. Lab Environment Testing: Utilize various test equipment to measure video quality metrics in a lab environment, ensuring the reliability and performance of our video streaming solutions. Protocols Mastery: Showcase proficiency in protocols such as DASH, ABR, and prefetching, contributing to the enhancement of video streaming performance. Vendor Collaboration: Work with test equipment/vendors like Witbe, HeadSpin, Viavi, Keysight, and other relevant tools to ensure the highest standards in video quality testing. Linux Proficiency: Bring strong experience with Linux systems to the table, optimizing video engineering processes efficiently. Mobile Devices Testing: Apply your expertise in mobile devices OS and testing, including Android and ADB skills, to ensure seamless video experiences across various platforms. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Video Engineer, showcasing expertise in streaming video and quality metrics. Strong knowledge of protocols, encoding/decoding, and video playout systems. Proficiency in Linux systems and experience with mobile devices OS and testing. Familiarity with test equipment/vendors and tools such as Witbe, HeadSpin, Viavi, Keysight.
