Power BI Administrator

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 + Months

Perform administration function for business intelligence systems for the entire organization, helping to achieve data reporting and analysis goals.

Expert level BI administration experience
Manage global setting configurations
Maintain Gateway and data connections
Perform capacity and workload planning
Document processes and procedures related to system administration

Analyze system performance and usage, including reporting on key metrics and making recommendations for dataset/workspace retirement, consolidation, and other changes

Support development and maintenance of workspace and report best practices and design standards. Be proactive in identifying and initiating resolution of deviations in firm standards
Support development, documentation, and deployment of business intelligence security strategy.

Research new features, technologies and applications that can improve the quality, performance, or functionality of the firms business intelligence platforms.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending technical education, attending workshops, reading publications and/or pursuing technical certifications.
Manage enablement of new BI features within platform, partnering with data/business intelligence peers for knowledge sharing and training.
Instill a forward-looking business intelligence platform strategy, identifying areas for additional platform features or tools to automate and integrate with business intelligence systems and processes

Collaborate with technology, data analytics, and other teams to develop and execute on business intelligence architecture strategy.

Identify user and access needs across the organization
Understand limitations of business intelligence platform and how these limitations impact platform architecture
Analyze current platform architecture and develop recommendations for improvements to overall user experience

Use effective time management with appropriate prioritization to ensure all assigned responsibilities are executed on time and with the quality expected.

Maintain and comply with quality service by following organizations technological standards
Document procedures used

Provide exceptional customer service.

Provide support for PowerBI implementations and related data sources, flows and apps
Manage support tickets related to business intelligence platform, engaging external support teams as needed
Create and maintain relationships outside of Technology. Use the relationships to enhance reporting and systems that affect end users daily lives
