Hybrid, 3 days a week to office Responsibilities: Responsible for creating Enterprise DBMS standards, backup/restore methodologies, performance tuning directives and baselines. Integrate with Cross Functional tower to create documentation standards, install/upgrade build documents, operational support and knowledge base articles for Helpdesk use. Serve as an escalation point of contact for the database team and work with the team members for issue review and remediation. Monitor and adhere to all Service Level Agreements (SLA) as they pertain to the database management team Work with Enterprise architect in assessing and remediating security vulnerabilities, database code updates to meet industry and DBMS vendor standards Coordinate and implement database upgrades and updates to the latest releases Integrate with other Application Services Towers to assist with database design, development, and implementation. Assist with non-prod to prod database refresh Engage with third-party vendors for database support and set guidelines for in-take of vendor provided database management systems Serve as a subject matter expert on Database Technology and associated resources, including tools and best practices for upgrades, Enterprise, and cloud-based database technologies. Have a working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of Database Management and administration software and tools, and principles, practices, terminology, implementation, and maintenance, including, network and database design and security and software support Troubleshoot complex Database technical problems, knowing potential causes of a problem down until reaching an ultimate cause or solution Work with Database platform provider such as Microsoft as needed to find solutions for issues that have reached the limits of our teams troubleshooting ability and assist enterprise users. Knowledge of Cloud technologies, especially Azure based to be able to create a roadmap for lift and shift of on-premises database workload to the cloud platform Work with Azure support architect in creating a roadmap for on-premises to cloud database migration for review and approval by leadership team Operate with high efficiency to intake agency projects, identify potential opportunities for database optimization and recommend solutions that are deployable and fit with enterprise vision Maintain data integrity at high level, design workflows to help support User data needs. Key Skills SQL Server 2019, Database management and administration tools such as Quest Toad, Fog light, Spotlight, Performance Investigator, SolarWinds DPA, Sql Sentry, System and Application Monitor (SAM) etc Experience in working with a highly experienced team across database administration, Business Intelligence and Enterprise data standards Hands on Experience working with Sql Server in an on-premises and cloud platform setup Conflict resolution Collaborative team player to drive solutions Understanding of strategic partnerships to drive enterprise-level data initiatives Understanding of DBMS standards, backup/restore methodologies, performance tuning directives, disaster recovery Knowledge and experience with large-scale database migration, data modelling, and data architecture (on-premises and cloud) Ability to lead data quality and integrity initiatives to ensure consistent use and security of data Ability to lead translation of business requirements to technical solutions Keywords: |
