Job title: Cybersecurity Tools Engineer Location : Richmond, VA (2 days onsite a week) Duration : 6 month contract with rolling extensions Interview: ONSITE/IN-PERSON (No flexibility on this) JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is looking for a Cybersecurity Tools Engineer 4 for a HYBRID position based out of Richmond, VA. Responsibilities: The Cyber Security engineer must understand the OT environment, the core tools and competencies required to properly secure, analyze and build reporting and aggregate searches to assist the SOC and other TOC systems managers to best practice cyber hygiene. Applicant must possess and display experience with Security Operations. Will communicate with management on all phases of security transformation. Applicant will be required to support and upgrade these tools appropriately and keep up to the minute documentation. Must have the responsibility of oversight for the security information and best practices. Generate security monitoring correlation searches and dashboards to assist with a security at a glance functionality across our TOC's. Will be driver behind security best practices in a production OT (Perdue Model) environment. User must have the ability to understand and present OT views and best practices and be able to differentiate between OT and IT. Knowledge of Azure, Cisco Firepower Windows & Linux will be extremely helpful. Requirements: Experience with Desktop, Laptop, Server, Hardware. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with General Network. Experience with cyber security. Experience with Security Tools: Splunk. Ability to Analyze care and feeding of logs and scans to Forescout, Tenable & Splunk. Maintains up-to-date project and architecture documentation. Maintains up-to-date inventory and maintenance records. Monitors system resources for server/service anomalies. Resolves connection issues between platforms Maintains detailed change history of changes. Supports team efforts to improve cybersecurity controls and defenses. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Security Tools: Forescout. Experience with Security Tools: Tenable/Nessus.
