Must have done WFCP (Workforce and Capacity Planning) at a large-scale org. This role will have exposure to SVP level so comms skills must be strong. This is A LOT of spreadsheet work and requires someone to be very tactical and problem solving. Primary Duties: Develop and implement resource and capacity management processes and tools that align project, resources, and costs to achieve increased efficiency in portfolio planning and execution. Work with ATO, Quality Engineering, Security Engineering and other stakeholders to define, align, and operationalize the use of Engineering performance metrics to facilitate a focus on continuous improvement and refinement of engineering best practices, agile engineering practices, development lifecycle, and process definition Determine and communicate the staffing strategy and mix of FTE, contract, and outsource distribution based on objectives, workload, and deliverable timelines engineering teams for success in a scaled organization Budgeting and Financials - Work closely with our Finance partners and engineering leaders to fully understand and closely manage engineerings financial needs and spend, which includes capacity costs, tooling, education, T&A, and other areas of engineering budget. This will include consolidating and actively managing engineering budget for yearly strategic planning. Required Skills: Demonstrated experience in developing resource management capabilities consisting of large global resource pools (1000+) supporting complex portfolios, preferably in R&D drug development. Experience designing, deploying, and supporting PPM, reporting, or business operations solutions, with an emphasis on resource capacity planning; PMO team member experience a plus. Proficient in the use of enterprise Project Management, Business Intelligence, (BI), and reporting tools such as Clarity, Qlik Sense, or similar. Leadership experience driving initiatives across multiple cross-functional teams. Ability to identify opportunities for improvement within the engineering practice Status reporting & communication to senior leaders. Proven ability to define and track metrics/KPIs. Effective partnership with senior leaders to drive planning and strategy. Risk and Issue management; Stakeholder management. Demonstrated strategic management, leadership, influencing without authority and negotiation skills. Effective negotiation and influencing without authority. Self-driven, intrinsically motivated high-capacity person who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment. Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills.
