Tech Lead AWS Engineer Location: Hartford, CT(Hybrid) 3 days a week Visa : USC, GC and GC-EAD only Interview : Virtual Duration: 6+ Months C2H This is my current focus! Not looking for DevOps, this is a serious AWS Cloud Engineer (SME in AWS migrations, setups, monitoring, etc) High preference for LOTS of certifications like CKE, AWS Solution Arc, Cloud Practitioner, etc. Her Area Supports the RTQ Underwriting Application in AWS and they are not meeting SLA or meeting their own ECO Standards. She is looking for an Certified Cloud Engineer, but wants someone with Tech Lead experience, need someone with demonstrated experience in establishing best practices, create or recommend tools, frameworks, and Patterns working with Architects and existing Roadmaps . Engineer should have experience migrating OnPrem Databases like Oracle and MySQL to PostgreSQL, then to the Cloud. Experience with OOP(mainly Java based Underwriting Apps). Work on Designs. Initial 4-6 months working 80% Implementing AWS native services, improving standards and performance. 20% getting familiar with Products, GAPS, and improving integration. Using CloudWatch, Terraform, EC2 Containerizations. YAML, Ansible Automations, and Jenkins, improving CI/CD. This person must have AWS Cloud Engineering, building Services, CI/CD, Automation, Monitoring, Containers, Security. Sr, enough to make recommendations or mentor others, establish best practice and Database Migration from OnPrem to Cloud. Minimum 10 years experience and perfect verbal and written skills!!! Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Math, or any Engineering. Must have an active AWS associate certification. Awareness of full software development life cycle practices and the ability to follow source code management, code quality and testing practices. 5+ years of hands-on experience in application software solution development and execution. Software development knowledge using AWS resources like Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Route 53, VPC, AWS Batch, AWS Directory, Service Catalog is preferred. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, such as, Java Web Services, JMS, XML, JSON, JDBC etc. Along with experience in creating Web Service (SOAP and Rest) using Java Spring boot. Understanding of Batch and MQ. 3+ years of systems design experience along with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies. Experience using GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, uDeploy, Rally, checkmarx etc or AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy and AWS CodeStar. Infrastructure as Code experience, like CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK. Experience with one or more relational database technologies such as Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB. Experience in Upgrades and Migrating of database is a plus. Familiar with Agile methodology. Experience working in an Agile or SAFe development environment. Proven ability to work with cross functional teams. Possess analytical, problem solving and communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within an organization and influence leadership. Preferred Qualifications: Technical knowledge of AWS application development and Data Integrations. Hands-on experience on Migrating Legacy applications to AWS. Familiarity with Database upgrades and Migrating to Cloud native RDS like Postgres is a plus.
