Position: Sr. Frontend Software Engineer, No H1B Location: Pleasanton, CA (2x a week onsite, must be local to Bay Area) Duration: 6+ Month MOI: Phone and Video Duties/Day to Day Overview: As a Front end Software Engineer you will play an integral part within our Martech Department. This will involve assisting in a variety of development functions, including working with end users on application development to meet their needs, and special projects. The candidate will be working on HTML/CSS Albertsons have plenty of opportunity that arises within the team where he can use his Angular and react Expertise and contribute we recently rolled out few like : Delta script , Dynamic content etc. If the candidate intention here not to work on HTML and CSS at all than that might be challenging for Albertsons to accommodate as they do require or UI/UX to touch these areas due to nature of our work (Must haves) React or Angular or Vue HTML and CSS Adobe Creative Suite (or other designer tools) JavaScript skills Familiar with Less and Sass Candidate must be able to answer the following questions: 1. How the authentication works and how to get the response back from a third party / external tool 2. How the build process or how to integrate the generated builds with back end 3. Basic question in Java. 4. Best practice to follow / any tool that are used 5. Be able to answer questions by providing straight forward answer, not looking for mix answers 6. Need to have good communications skills 7. Must be hands on developer Specific duties in this role include: Problem solving, thinking out of the box skills Communicate in-person and remotely Test and debug code Complete projects in a timely manner Develop using multiple languages both front end and back end Work autonomously on multiple projects Requirements We are looking for a Front-end Software Engineer for our Martech Department - Who combines strong leadership and organizational skills, with solid prioritization and attention to detail abilities. You must have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively convey compliance policies. Specific wants for this position include: Solid understanding of Web Page Development Process Ability to work in a cross-team environment Management experience is plus. Experience with one or more of the following: React, Angular, Vue, or something similar Strong Experience with HTML and CSS. Detail oriented Self-starter with the ability to work proficiently both individually and within a team. Adobe Creative Suite (or other designer tools) HTML, CSS and Bootstrap JavaScript skills Familiar with Less and Sass Understanding of responsive design and touch interface interaction techniques and be in sync with recent design standards and trends Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries. A solid portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user centered design solutions across multiple interfaces and screen sizes. Create user centered designs for software projects by considering customer feedback Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of new web and device software applications Create and evaluate interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience Breakdown complex requirements and concepts into well thought visual designs and workflows Ability to work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are successfully created and implemented to achieve the user goals Experience creating UI specs & wireframes. Flexibility and willingness to move from idea, to whiteboard, to execution quickly and provide choices to stakeholders. Configuration management tools Git or similar Basic understanding of JavaScript framework experience (React, Angular, Vue) Expert skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or any other design tools Any UX certs are a nice plus Basic Qualifications: Shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering/development and/or systems engineering/analysis A bachelors degree in engineering, computer science. Must possess experience in all phases of software engineering to include requirements analysis, development, testing and integration, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution and/or experience in phases of applications systems analysis to include evaluation and design, integration and optimization of complex systems Must have experience with communication applications, database management, use of programming languages and knowledge of storage and retrieval methods.
