| Role Azure Data Architect Job Description: Project Background Going to create M&R data platform (extension of consumer data platform); They are going to create Medallion architecture in Databricks. Azure databricks and Snowflake are key components; Prefer certification. Customer is planning to migrate 15-20 on-prem applications to Azure Cloud; Data for these applications are residing in Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and few other DBs. As part of this Azure modernization, target database could be Snowflake, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Server. Responsibilities Craft technical strategy for the data modernization program; Tell clients why they should pick Databricks based architecture for their project Articulate advantages of going with databricks based architecture and able to communicate to business team; Be hands on and solve any technical issues in Azure environment (for example solving problems in Resource groups, performance group, tenants) Build medallion architecture and create the benefits for each of layers in medallion architecture. Create canonical data model. Create frameworks for data quality as a Service, data governance as a service, data protection as a service, data virtualization. Guide on performance tuning and data auditing. Create frameworks and technical architecture for consumption layer. Be a technical advisor for data engineering team. Configure DeltaTable in Databricks, if needed.
