As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable data solutions using Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering principles, programming languages, and hands-on experience with Azure data services. Responsibilities: Azure Technology Expertise: Design, develop, and implement data solutions using Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Databricks, and/or Azure Synapse Analytics. Programming Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages like Spark (Python or Scala) and SQL. Database Management: Work with databases such as SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, and Synapse. Data Engineering Principles: Possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes, including data testing, validation, and reconciliation. Integration and Transformation: Have hands-on experience with data integration and data transformation frameworks, tools, and methodologies. Version Control and Collaboration: Utilize version control systems like Git, GitHub, etc. Collaborate with cross-functional and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions. Pipeline Development: Build and maintain data pipelines, data integrations, and data transformations to enable efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval. Optimization: Optimize data infrastructure and solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring high availability and reliability. Data Quality Management: Conduct data profiling, data validation, and data cleansing activities to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data engineers, freshers/interns, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development within the team. Good to Have: DevOps Practices: Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Streaming Technologies: Knowledge in streaming technologies, pipelines, and frameworks like Kafka, EventHub, Azure Stream Analytics. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
