IT Program Manager

Location: Tallahassee, FL hybrid

Duration: 6+ months 

Job Details:

The Office of Information Technology (OIT), Application Services, is seeking an IT Program Manager for a 6-month contract opportunity. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating large, complex efforts to support IT initiatives, programs, and projects. They will serve as a strategic interface with business office staff for business/IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. The Program Manager will also be expected to analyze, prepare, validate, and maintain cost estimates, detailed baseline budgets, and monthly cost variance reports. 

Mandatory Skills:
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field. 
Must be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). 
Eight (8) years of IT Program Management experience and ten (10) years of professional experience in Information Systems, Business Administration, or Communications is required.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, tools and techniques outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
Knowledge of various types of contracts, and development techniques for procurement documents such as; Requests for Quotes (RFQ), Requests for Purchase (RFP), Invitation to Bid (ITB), Invitation to Negotiate (ITN), and Single Source.
Skill in the use of the methods and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation of risks.
Ability to coordinate and manage programs, projects and resources from a high and discreet level, including cost, work, and Vendor performance.
Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of the software & system development life cycles.
Knowledge of IT solutions for data infrastructure remediation, migration, and modernization needs.
Ability to interpret and communicate technical information related to business processes, computer programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing.
Advanced skills with Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.

Desired Skills:
Experience working with SharePoint 365 is highly desired.

The start date for this position is immediate.

Location:

This is a hybrid position located in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. The candidate will be expected to work both remotely and in-office as required.
