Job Title: Senior Okta Engineer - Authentication and Authorization Location: Remote (US) Must work in EST hours. Do not share profiles currently located in PST and MST timezones. Visa Independent candidates only. Please share USC and GC only. Experience: 12-15 Years Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of authentication and authorization solutions within the client systems. Utilize expertise in Auth0 or Okta to architect and implement secure identity and access management solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand authentication/authorization requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Design and implement complex authentication/authorization scenarios, ensuring optimal performance and security. Evaluate and integrate emerging authentication technologies, staying at the forefront of industry advancements. Provide technical guidance to development teams on implementing secure coding practices related to authentication and authorization. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices related to authentication, authorization, and identity management. Key Qualifications: 12-15 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on authentication and authorization. Proven expertise in Auth0 or Okta, with a deep understanding of their capabilities and configuration. Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC. Experience in designing and implementing secure identity and access management solutions for large-scale applications. Understanding of and experience in MFA. Knowledge of PIV (Personal Identity Verification) cards and their use in authentication/authorization is an added plus. Ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex authentication/authorization issues. Familiarity with security best practices and a commitment to maintaining a secure development environment. Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
