| From: Priyabrata Pradhan, Vyze Inc [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Title: Sr. DATA Migration Engineer Location: REMOTE California / West Coast Time Zone Candidates Only Duration: 5 Months C2H Interview: Webcam Visa: USC /GC Responsibilities: MUST HAVE: 8+ years of exp in Information Technology, CANDIDATE NEED TO UPDATE RESUME AS THE SAMPLE RESUME PV HAS SENDED Sr. DATA Migration Engineer REMOTE needed --- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Migration, Managing Migration of large-scale and complex data systems from one source system to another, gathering the scope / structure and format of data to be migrated, develop an overall Data Migration strategy, planning documents / reviews deliverables, Deploys custom data migration solutions, installing / configuring / maintaining Linux servers, Scripting, Python, Node.JS, LINUX Shell, JavaScript, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, multi-complex SQL statements, LINUX troubleshooting, Networking Protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, custom Oracle, Java, PostgreSQL utilities, Runs QA Scripts, AGILE methodology, CLOUD providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), analyzing data to be migrated, transforming data according to customer requirements, ensuring the integrity of the data, formulating data migration plans / strategies, provide expert knowledge to internal integration engineers / external customers, assess data migration needs, evaluate existing systems, document data migration requirements, implement appropriate data migration solutions, tests and approves deliverables prior to deployment, Creates custom reports, resolve issues encountered during integration testing, Mentors junior engineers REQUIRD SKILLS: Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent levels of work experience 7+ years of experience working in a Sr. DATA Migration Engineering role. 7+ years of strong skills in Managing Migration of large-scale and complex DATA systems from one source system to another. 7+ years of analyzing DATA to be migrated, transforming DATA according to customer requirements, and ensuring the integrity of the data. 7+ years of experience in formulating DATA Migration plans and strategies and provide expert knowledge to internal integration engineers and external customers. Develops custom DATA Migration software components in variety of programming languages including but not limited to Python, Linux Shell, JavaScript etc. Runs QA scripts to ensure migrated data meets customer requirements and has been fully validated. Regularly meets with internal and external stakeholders to assess DATA Migration needs, evaluate existing systems, document DATA Migration requirements, and implement appropriate data migration solutions. Coordinates and reviews work with other engineers, tests and approves deliverables prior to deployment. Strong experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers. Strong Scripting experience using languages such as Python, Node.JS, and Linux Shell. Experience working with RDMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and executing complex SQL statements. Excellent Linux troubleshooting skills. Very good knowledge and understanding with Networking Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP. Configures our Biometric Information System products to support migration activities including custom Oracle, Java, and PostgreSQL utilities. Participates in design and planning activities, following agile methodology. Experience working with one of the major CLOUD providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) Works with Systems Integration Engineers, Project Managers and Customers in gathering the scope, structure, and format of data to be migrated. Works with the Engineering Manager to develop an overall migration strategy including planning documents and reviews deliverables with SMEs and key stakeholders involved in projects. Deploys custom data migration solutions to Dev, Test and Production environments. Identifies and reports issues encountered when performing data transfers and processing using custom migration utilities. Communicates progress, issues, and risks during periodic status meetings. Creates custom reports to track migration status. Works with other engineers to ensure technical problems which might impact other projects are communicated to avoid problem repeat. Works with Systems Integration Engineers to resolve issues encountered during integration testing. Mentors junior engineers and maintains/acquires skills as product and assignments evolve. Must have strong communication and writing skills with ability to explain technical content to non-technical audience. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task easily from one project to another.
