DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Database Architect 2 , hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Database Architect 2, Data/Database Administration and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission . All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database. Cleans and maintains the database by removing and deleting old data. Must be able to design, develop and manipulate database management systems, data warehouses and multidimensional databases. Requires a depth and breadth of database knowledge that shall help with formal design of relational databases and provides insight into strategic data manipulation. Responsible for making sure an organization's strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards. This frequently involves creating and maintaining a centralized registry of metadata. Has working knowledge of EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies. Ensures that all user interfaces for database administration and inputting, viewing, outputting data(via reports) are compliant with accessibility standards. Additional job details and special considerations The Information Technology (IT) Applications, Medicaid/CHIP Systems (IT-MCS) team has initiated the MCS SAVERR to TOA Remediation PPS & TMTS project. This project will remediate SAVERR code in the Premiums Payable System (PPS) and Texas Medical Transportation System (TMTS) by replacing SAVERR code with TOA code and business logic. Requires knowledge and experience in Oracle database design, development, performance optimization, reporting, testing, defect root cause analysis, troubleshooting, Agile development methodology, and systems architecture documentation utilizing Oracle version 11x and/or 12x. Available for on-call support as needed. Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations. II.
