THIS IS NOT A CLOUD DevOps Engineering or SRE role. The Production Support Engineer will automate system administration tasks, utilize monitoring tools, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless infrastructure and application integration. The ideal resource has experience in system administration, DevOps tools, monitoring, and troubleshooting. He/she should also be proficient in scripting and maintaining Java applications and be conversant with Docker and Kubernetes. Responsibilities: Working closely with counterparts in the Infrastructure and Application teams, the SRE helps build a more sustainable platform by developing systems that analyze our environments, predict future problems, and actively support the production environment. Experience automating system administration tasks using scripting tools such as Python or . Experience with monitoring and automation tools further help analyze real-time issues. Monitoring and Metrics in Prometheus, Grafana, and integrations with ServiceNow. Work with other teams to ensure the infrastructure and applications that depend on it work together seamlessly. Support other team's infrastructure needs on an as-needed basis. Use and develop tools for systems continuous delivery automation. System Administration on Linux (CentOS) and Windows Server. Proficient with DevOps tools and environments like TeamCity/Jenkins and Git. Experience with monitoring implementations and administration Provide off-hours support on a rotational basis to ensure continuous system availability. Ability to discuss and resolve technical issues and escalations with other technical staff as the need arises. Work to automate the detection and resolution of recurring issues in the production environment. Experience: 5 to 7 years of production support. Working experience in using Tomcat, Git, Splunk, Jenkins and TeamCity. Knowledge of Relational Databases & SQL. Must be able to write complex SQL queries. Experience in Scripting. Experience in maintaining monitoring and alert systems. Experience troubleshooting relational databases and distributed platforms. Experience in maintaining Java applications. Experience in Docker orchestration and management. Experience with Kubernetes.
