Job Description: Data Analyst w/Python, SQL, Terraform Location: Richmond or Mclean, VA hybrid NO H1's Only USC and GC's. This is only mid-level position of 3-6 years of experience candidates only reply!!!!!! Notes: Role is somewhat unique for Data Analyst job family Could be a Data Analyst who had solid python/SQL and solid Terraform, but is willing to learn and get better at Python Could be a test automation background with some terraform background with strong python, but is willing to learn Terraform 3-5 years of experience. Enterprise Services Rick Group which is responsible for automation of Test Controls for AWS. AWS Services need to be tested for audit purposes. Make sure they test controls 1-2 times per year. This has been done manually in the past. This testing will now be automated using Python Need someone who has good analytical skills who can work in python programming language. Someone who has exp building infra as code with terraform (ansible or CloudFormation templates is OK if theyre willing to learn terraform) Solid problem solving, proactive resource, can work independently Excellent communication skills Day to Day: Will test in a sandbox AWS account. Create controls and policies there and test with non-compliant characteristics to make them compliant once issues are found. Example: If you need to create an EC2 instance, you have to do this manually. They want someone who can automate this task using Terraform Once automation is in place, will build reporting capabilities and visualize in Tableau Testing AWS resources that are approved in Capital One. As new ones are utilized, it falls into their testing scope This person doesnt need deep understanding of all the services, but a general understanding (EC2 is compute resource, RDS is a database resource) They also do SOX testing to make sure anyone who has access to certain apps and AWS services went through the proper channels and requested them through their All Access team.
