SQL Specialist Visa- H1B, GC USC Remote within Michigan We are looking for a SQL specialist who also has Windows administration capabilities Job Title: IT Generalist - SQL Specialist Company Overview: We are seeking an experienced and versatile IT Generalist with a specialization in SQL and proficiency in Windows System Administration, including Active Directory administration. As an integral member of our dynamic team, the individual will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. Position Overview: The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including SQL migrations, development, application administration, and Windows System Administration with a focus on Active Directory. This role requires a candidate who can seamlessly navigate between SQL-centric responsibilities and broader system administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, excellent communication skills, and a curiosity-driven mindset. Responsibilities: SQL Development and Administration: Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Perform SQL migrations and ensure data integrity during the process. Administer and maintain SQL databases to ensure high availability and performance. Windows System Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Windows-based servers and systems. Perform Active Directory administration tasks, including user management and group policies. Application Administration: Oversee the administration and maintenance of various applications within the UPL IT infrastructure. Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of SQL components. Documentation: Document IT processes, configurations, and procedures for future reference. Maintain clear and concise documentation of SQL databases and system configurations. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to SQL databases, applications, and system components. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges. Communication: Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address IT needs. Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in SQL development, migrations, and administration. Strong understanding of Windows System Administration, including Active Directory. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to various audiences. Curious mindset with a willingness to explore and learn new technologies.
